What is GWG-Plattform.ch?
GWG-Plattform.ch is a digital platform for the structured organisation of AML processes. It combines identification of the contracting party, digital files, AML forms, checks, screenings, risk assessments, tasks and deadlines.
Who is the platform designed for?
The platform is aimed in particular at financial intermediaries, accountants, fiduciaries, advisers, lawyers, notaries, registered-office providers and domiciliary service providers with obligations under the Swiss Anti-Money Laundering Act.
What is the difference between the two free checks?
The AML obligation check assesses whether a company or activity may be subject to AML obligations. The transaction check assesses a specific activity or transaction.
Which tasks does the platform support?
These include guided onboarding of contracting parties, identification of relevant persons and roles, file management, preparation of AML forms, checks and screenings, risk assessments, tasks, deadlines and preparation of periodic obligations.
What is a digital AML file?
The digital file brings together all information relating to a contracting party. This includes master data, persons and roles, proof of identity, forms, check results, risk classifications, decisions, outstanding tasks and deadlines.
What is the difference between documentation and file management?
File management means the central administration of all information and documents relating to a contracting party. Documentation comprises the forms, evidence, processing notes and recorded decisions created from this information.
What is the difference between checks and screenings?
Checks include process-related controls, clarifications and risk assessments. Screenings are automated comparisons of persons against PEP and relevant sanctions lists.
Does GWG-Plattform.ch screen persons against sanctions lists?
Yes. The platform supports automated PEP and sanctions screenings and documents the results in the relevant file.
How does GWG-Plattform.ch support tasks and deadlines?
Outstanding tasks, missing documents, expiry dates and required updates are displayed centrally. Automated reminders highlight the need for action in good time.
Which periodic obligations are prepared?
Existing file data can be compiled in a structured way for self-declaration, risk analysis and periodic reviews. The professional assessment and approval remain the responsibility of the competent function.
